About the Role: Customer Service Representative As a Customer Service Representative at arenaflex, you will play a vital role in helping patients check into the hospital, answering their questions, and addressing their concerns during the registration process. This is a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires a confident multi-tasker who is a quick study with technology and can type and answer phones efficiently. You will be the first point of contact for patients and their families, and your compassion, empathy, and excellent communication skills will help build trust and ease anxiety. Key Responsibilities: Work on computers and answer phones to intake information in a busy environment, collecting details that must be input correctly between physician and nurse check-ins. Help patients who may be very ill or worried, listening carefully to their concerns and asking follow-up questions to build rapport and ease their anxiety. Work in a fast-paced environment, often on your feet, assisting patients in completing their registration and collecting patient and insurance information. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless registration and patient care. Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date on health plans, coverage, and industry developments. Requirements and Qualifications: To succeed in this role, you will need: A High School Diploma or GED. Excellent customer service experience, with a strong focus on empathy, compassion, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple screens and programs. Strong typing skills and ability to answer phones efficiently. Comfort working in a hospital/lab environment, with exposure to illness and injuries. Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience in healthcare or customer service, with a strong understanding of patient registration and insurance processes. Knowledge of health plans, coverage, and industry developments. Experience working with technology, including electronic health records and registration systems.
