Your responsibilities will include: * **Interacting with beneficiaries and providers**: Communicate verbally and in writing with external customers to furnish and request review information. * **Creating and formatting letters**: Prepare, proofread, and print correspondence, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy. * **Maintaining timeliness**: Meet deadlines and ensure that all correspondence is completed within the required timeframe. * **Decision-making**: Make informed decisions regarding complex appeals, using your judgment and expertise to resolve issues. * **Collaborating with internal and external customers**: Foster effective working relationships between arenaflex's internal and external customers. * **Identifying areas for improvement**: Participate in Review Team discussions to identify areas for potential improvement, as noted on case reviews and process. **Qualifications** To succeed in this role, you'll need: * **High school diploma or equivalent**: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent is required. * **Post-high school business courses**: While not required, post-high school business courses can be beneficial in this role. * **Medical terminology**: Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus. * **Excellent verbal communication skills**: You'll need to be courteous, patient, and customer-oriented, with the ability to maintain composure under potentially stressful situations. * **Good grammar, punctuation, spelling, hyphenation, and written communications skills**: You'll be responsible for creating and formatting letters, so strong written communication skills are essential. * **Customer-focused, results-oriented, and capable of building and maintaining relationships**: You'll need to be able to work effectively with internal and external customers, building and maintaining relationships to ensure exceptional service. * **Flexibility and teamwork**: You'll need to be flexible and able to work as a team member, supporting team decisions and priorities. * **General knowledge of a PC-based computer system**: Familiarity with PC-based computer systems is desirable, as is knowledge of various software packages. * **Ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments**: You'll need to be able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize assignments to meet deadlines. **Experience** While not required, we're looking for candidates with: * **Two to three years of clerical experience**: Experience in word processing, various filing systems, and telephone customer service responsibilities is a plus. * **Prior work in a healthcare setting or medical terminology**: Familiarity with healthcare settings or medical terminology is recommended. * **Previous data entry or other clerical experience**: Previous data entry or other clerical experience is a plus. **Mental and Physical Requirements** The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
