Our 20+ Representative Business Asset Groups are dedicated to connecting our colleagues to our clients, partners, networks, and investors, empowering them to reach their full potential and create a comprehensive workplace that addresses and exceeds the challenges of our global community. **Why You'll Love This Job:** As a Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, you will have the opportunity to: * Collaborate with clients in a considerate, professional, courteous, and expert manner * Handle a wide range of customer inquiries and issues with ease and efficiency * Work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous learning and growth * Enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $24 and a range of benefits and perks * Pursue a career with a leading airline that values diversity, inclusion, and employee satisfaction **Key Responsibilities:** As a Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, your key responsibilities will include: * Issuing, reissuing, and refunding traveler tickets * Booking, ticketing, and confirming flight reservations * Rebooking travelers on oversold flights and during irregular operations * Performing traveler check-in and boarding tasks, including correcting oversold seat assignments and issuing upgrades * Issuing vouchers and coordinating with ground handlers for traveler accommodations, meals, and transportation * Performing traveler loading, including ticket lift and ticket lift/check * Operating gate readers/scanners and related tasks, including pre-boarding, observing/checking carry-on items, and departure line management * Working jetways/bridges for boarding and deplaning travelers * Making boarding and departure gate announcements * Conveying domestic/international flight records * Performing customer service flight close-out procedures * Accepting, checking, and labeling travelers' baggage at destination points, full-service ticket counters, and premium ticket counters * Maintaining a schedule of flight loading processes * Performing customer service hands-on training * Processing and completing credit card baggage transactions at stands in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Assisting travelers with self-service kiosk check-in and baggage handling at ticket counters * Managing lines at ticket counter stands and ticket counters * Clearing/confirming international documents at booths in the ticket counter area and activation stations * Accepting and activating travelers' self-labeled bags at activation stations * Assisting clients requiring special assistance or in-station; helping boarding, deplaning, and shipping non-ambulatory travelers, special assistance travelers, or unaccompanied minors * Performing customer service work related to handling regional flights and ground handling arrangements or agreements * Having standard and predictable attendance on location, including meeting any required overtime needs * Answering and assisting during security and emergency situations * Providing gate information to travelers * Providing quality customer service in a professional manner and in accordance with American's policies * Adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and performance guidelines * Completing task-related stages of training * Complying with applicable laws (e.g. DOT, FAA, TSA) * Utilizing various internal assets/frameworks, including during customer interactions * Wearing uniform as required by organizational policy **Additional Responsibilities (dependent on airport size):** * Performing Traveler Activity Control capabilities, including air-to-ground communication and Peak capabilities * Assisting international travelers through customs/migration, including baggage re-check * Conveying tickets, international flight reports, and customs/migration documents **What You'll Need for Success:** To be successful in this role, you will need: * A bachelor's degree and relevant professional training * Bilingual language abilities in certain areas * A valid, relevant driver's license as required by local authorities * To meet FAA criminal history verifications to qualify for unescorted access awards to airport security identification display areas (SIDA), if applicable * To obtain proper airport power and US Customs security identifications, if material * To complete a pre-employment drug screen, comprehensive background check, or fingerprinting to meet organizational and security requirements * To be authorized to work in the U.S. **Preferred Qualifications:** * Training and earlier professional training * Working knowledge of Saber or other Traveler Service Frameworks * Past face-to-face customer service experience * Working in a high-speed environment **What You'll Get:** As a Customer Service Representative with arenaflex, you will enjoy: * Medical benefits: On the very first day, you'll have access to your health, dental, prescription, and vision benefits to help you stay well.
