You'll be the primary point of contact for patients, answering their questions, resolving their concerns, and ensuring that their medication orders are processed efficiently and effectively. You'll also be responsible for verifying and revivifying benefits, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues. **Key Responsibilities** * Provide exceptional customer service to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy via telephone * Verify and revivify benefits for patients * Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system * Communicate and collect copay amounts from patients * Obtain authorizations from insurance companies and healthcare providers * Work with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders that have accounts receivable or clinical issues * Collaborate with patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers to resolve issues and ensure timely fulfillment of medication orders * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient interactions and medication orders **Essential Qualifications** * One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone * One year of work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications * One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude * Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications** * Previous experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in a customer service or pharmacy role * Familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology * Experience working with patients and families in a healthcare setting **Skills and Competencies** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information * Proficiency in Windows-based applications and computer keyboarding * Strong attention to detail and accuracy **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits** At arenaflex, we're committed to helping our employees grow and develop their careers.
