As a key player in our North America Technical Team, you'll be at the forefront of helping customers harness the power of our cutting-edge cloud solutions to drive their digital transformation. About the Role As a Data Analytics Customer Engineer at blithequark, you'll be a subject matter expert partnering with our technical sales teams to differentiate our cloud offerings and empower customers to overcome their most pressing business challenges. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing innovative cloud solutions, engaging in proofs of concept, and troubleshooting technical issues related to data migrations, backends, and the entire data lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with teams across North America to identify and qualify business opportunities, understand key customer objections, and devise strategies to resolve technical blockers related to the data lifecycle. Share your data analytics expertise to support technical relationships with customers, including advocacy, bid responses, product briefings, POC work, and partnering with product management to prioritize solutions that drive adoption. Conduct thorough technical discovery, identify business and technical requirements, and architect client solutions that meet their needs. Prepare and deliver compelling sales messaging that highlights the value proposition of blithequark's cloud solutions, utilizing techniques such as whiteboards, presentations, product demonstrations, and RFI responses. Interlock with Product Management, providing thought leadership, customer feedback, and triaging blockers to workload migrations, ultimately influencing the product roadmap. Minimum Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. At least 6 years of experience with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. A proven track record of engaging with technical stakeholders and executive leaders, presenting complex ideas with clarity and persuasion. Hands-on experience with Big Data technologies or concepts, including analytics warehousing, data processing, data transformation, data governance, data migrations, ETL, ELT, SQL, NoSQL, performance or scalability optimizations, or batch versus streaming. Preferred Qualifications While not mandatory, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience in technical sales or consulting in cloud computing, data analytics, or Big Data. A background in architecture design, implementing, tuning, schema design, and query optimization of scalable and distributed systems. Familiarity with various aspects of cloud computing, including infrastructure, storage, platforms, and data, as well as the cloud market, engaged dynamics, and customer buying behavior. Experience with developing data warehousing, data lakes, batch/real-time event processing, streaming, data processing (ETL/ELT), data migrations, data visualization tools, and data governance on cloud-native architectures. A deep understanding of customer requirements, with the ability to break down complex needs and design technical architectures that meet those needs.
