Key Responsibilities Collaborate with data engineers, software engineers, and CS business owners to design and develop reliable, scalable data pipelines that transform raw data into core business metrics. Work with custom visualization tools to surface critical Customer Service insights, driving data-informed decisions that enhance the member experience. Design and implement data models that are adaptable to changes in source data or business processes, ensuring data quality and integrity. Develop and maintain big data pipelines using technologies such as Hive, Presto, Spark, and Flink, with a focus on medium to large-scale data sets (10s of millions of records). Apply strong analytical aptitude to think through complex business problems, prioritize tasks autonomously, and drive projects forward with minimal supervision. Foster strong communication and productive partnerships with analysts, engineers, and business leaders to ensure seamless collaboration and effective problem-solving. Essential Qualifications At least 4 years of experience in engineering data pipelines using big data technologies, with a strong focus on scalability, reliability, and data quality. Proven data modeling skills, with the ability to design structures that adapt to changing business needs and source data. Strong proficiency in Python or Scala, with a passion for writing clean, supportable code that meets the highest standards of quality and maintainability. Advanced SQL skills, with a strong advocacy for data quality and a deep understanding of database design principles. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and drive business outcomes through data-driven insights.
