Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer II to join our Ring Data Warehouse team, where you will play a critical role in designing, building, and maintaining efficient, scalable, and security-compliant data pipelines to support our business partners. As an Information Designer with solid logical, communication, and project management skills, you will work closely with software development engineers, scientists, and business partners across various verticals to deliver exceptional customer experiences. Key Responsibilities Gather and analyze requirements from business partners across verticals, such as Memberships, Sales, Invert Strategies, Finance, Product, and more Build new data ingestions using a combination of Local AWS services as well as internal arenaflex tools and technologies Maintain and improve existing data ingestions, ensuring they meet evolving standards and corporate directives Design and develop structures or tools for internal team and external partner use to manage data Perform code audits and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams About the Team The Ring Data Warehouse team at arenaflex is responsible for managing the integrated data repository for Ring, receiving and distributing data from various internal and external sources. Our team is utilized by multiple stakeholders, including Ring Product engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, Marketing, Customer Service, and Sales data. We are open to hiring candidates from various locations, including Hawthorne, CA, USA. Essential Qualifications 3 years of data engineering experience Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines Experience with SQL Bachelor's degree in a relevant field Preferred Qualifications Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions Experience in at least one modern scripting or programming language, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, file or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases) Skills and Competencies To succeed in this role, you will need to possess strong technical skills, excellent communication and project management abilities, and a passion for learning and adapting to new technologies and business needs. You should be able to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, think critically, and solve complex problems. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits Our compensation package is designed to reflect the cost of living across various US geographic markets. The base salary for this position ranges from $105,700/year in our lowest geographic market to $205,600/year in our highest geographic market.
