Position Summary At blithequark, we are looking for a part-time Data Entry Specialist to work at our headquarters in Minnetonka, with a requirement of 20-25 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and have a working knowledge of Chinese, with reading fluency preferred. This role offers flexibility in scheduling, with hours falling between 8 am and 5 pm, Monday through Friday. As a detail-oriented individual with basic computer knowledge, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customer base by entering books and periodicals into our systems in multiple languages. Key Responsibilities Enter books and periodicals into our systems in multiple languages, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail. Learn and adhere to specific data entry guidelines necessary for our customer base, demonstrating a commitment to quality and customer satisfaction. Utilize special tools designed to make foreign language data entry easier, leveraging technology to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Prepare purchase orders for entered products when requested, ensuring timely and accurate processing. Create cover scans of important products to be added to our system/website, enhancing our digital offerings and user experience. Perform other tasks as assigned by your supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Strong attention to detail and proof-reading skills, with a keen eye for accuracy and quality. Chinese reading and writing language skills, with simplified and/or traditional characters, are required. Fluency in the English language, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Prior experience in academic research, library science, or publishing work environments is desired but not required, although a passion for these fields is a definite plus. Highly organized and skilled in time management, with the ability to prioritize work, handle multiple tasks, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A strong track record of accuracy in communications and technical details, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other MS Office products, with the ability to learn new software and systems quickly.
