About the Role The Digital Campaigns Client Service Manager is a vital member of our Milan-based Italian advertising sales and operations team. We are looking for a talented individual who can bring extensive knowledge and insight in media planning, campaign management, advertising operations, and leadership to our client service team, supporting our advertising outreach team. The successful candidate will lead a Digital Campaigns Client Service team to plan and execute the operational components of the advertising campaigns we sell, from pre-sales guidance and media planning to campaign setup, analysis, optimization, reporting, and invoicing, covering all forms of advertising activity across our digital properties. Key Responsibilities Lead 1 Digital Campaigns Client Service team in supporting assigned sales representatives and related clients through all stages of the campaign lifecycle, from planning to invoicing Responsible for delivering effective media plans that maximize revenue Allocate team responsibilities while contributing to and assisting in campaign management Able to perform all tasks related to campaign management, specifically inventory forecasting, media plan creation, order entry, trafficking, optimization, reporting, and invoicing Ensure the Account Manager is fully trained on campaign performance and able to address all related questions Act as the primary point of contact for any escalations on complex issues or requests regarding inventory, ad products, or campaigns Assist Sales, Finance, and Accounting in revenue tracking Investigate and resolve ad delivery, ad quality, and technical issues, liaising with global Ad Platforms support Test potential ad tech vendor integrations and provide feedback on contract negotiations Ideate, implement, review, and improve operational processes that drive quality and efficiency Analyze usage and performance of digital inventory to develop strategies and products that maximize revenue yield Manage, mentor, and develop talent, including training future hires Create and update internal documentation to clarify processes and best practices Collaborate with regional teams and act as a local center of excellence for other offices across EMEA Maintain expertise in blithequark's ad tech stack and ecosystem, and stay up-to-date with industry developments Essential Qualifications Graduate degree or equivalent experience 3+ years of overall experience in the advertising industry, either publisher/agency side or in ad tech Team management experience Expertise in defining and improving processes Highly skilled in determining, planning, trafficking, and managing ad campaigns for display and video across websites, apps, social platforms, and connected TV environments Proven ability in executing campaigns, creating accurate and relevant reports, and optimizing performance Solid understanding of programmatic advertising, technologies that power it, and key players in the space Familiarity with general data security and compliance requirements related to digital advertising Able to represent the organization in external meetings and events Media or entertainment brand experience is beneficial, as is knowledge of the processes and procedures of a global partnership Essential knowledge of ad operations systems (e.g., Google Ad Manager), ad server systems (e.g., DV360), and management of Creative Assets and Tracking to support and lead the assigned team Knowledge of Massive activation for digital campaigns and related requirements Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in a related field 5+ years of experience in digital advertising, with a focus on campaign management and team leadership Advanced knowledge of ad tech systems, including ad exchanges, supply-side platforms, and demand-side platforms Experience with data analysis and reporting tools, such as Google Analytics or similar platforms Strong understanding of the digital advertising ecosystem, including industry trends and developments Skills and Competencies Highly energetic and driven problem solver Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to simultaneously focus on and balance multiple tasks Analytical; able to assess, evaluate, and plan based on results Able to step back and look at situations at a high level, tackling the immediate challenge and providing long-term solutions Regular team leader and coach, able to foster a positive, inclusive culture Driven to lead by example and hold others accountable for high standards Open to working independently or collaboratively with reports, peers, and senior leaders Revenue-focused, but not at the expense of our colleagues Always centered on our guests and focused on the customer experience Confident communicator with excellent presentation skills, able to speak on behalf of the team internally and externally Eager to work in a global organization with partners across the world Able to navigate the digital advertising industry and maintain relationships with publishers, broadcasters, agencies, advertisers, and tech vendors Top-to-bottom understanding of digital media and the advertising business, especially video and within EMEA IT literate across core business applications and remote working tools (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Slack, Zoom) Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
