We are committed to fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and continuous learning, and we offer a range of benefits and opportunities for growth and development. **Key Responsibilities:** * Design, develop, and deploy scalable and secure web and cloud applications using a range of technologies, including Java, AngularJS, and NodeJS * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop software solutions that meet those needs * Lead and mentor junior engineers to ensure the success of the team and the delivery of high-quality software solutions * Develop and maintain technical documentation, including code reviews, technical specifications, and user guides * Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to ensure high-quality code and adherence to best practices * Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and productivity * Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions * Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 support for critical systems **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field * At least 4 years of experience in software development, with a focus on web and cloud applications * Strong knowledge of Java, AngularJS, and NodeJS * Experience with distributed computing, including Sky blue, GCP, or AWS * Ability to travel up to 35% of the time, with a valid passport and ability to travel throughout the US * Ability to work flexible hours and be available for crisis response without prior notice * Passing a pre-employment drug test * Eligibility to work in the US, with no visa sponsorship available for this position **Preferred Qualifications:** * Experience managing a budget and leading a team * Experience leading a full project or initiative, including presenting recommendations to senior leadership * In-depth knowledge of business capabilities and careful knowledge of business activities, targets, and methodologies * Familiarity with arenaflex's IT disciplines and interdependencies, and how they drive IT strategy * Strong understanding of software development life cycles, including Agile and Scrum methodologies * Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment * Familiarity with cloud-based services, including AWS and Azure **Crewmember Assumptions:** * Regular attendance and reliability * Ability to work flexible hours and be available to respond without prior notice * Ability to maintain a professional appearance while working or traveling on arenaflex flights * Willingness to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft while on duty * Ability to fit into the arenaflex culture, with a strong emphasis on Security, Mindfulness, Respect, Enthusiasm, and Fun * Ability to satisfy security responsibilities as outlined by arenaflex's Health and Safety Management Framework **Reporting Health or Safety Concerns:** * Identify and report any health or safety concerns, issues, incidents, or risks that should be reported, using arenaflex's confidential reporting systems (Aviation Health Activity Program (AHAP) and Health Activity Report (SAR)) * Comply with all relevant regulations, guidelines (FAA, OSHA, DAB, etc.), and arenaflex policies, procedures, and risk controls **Maintaining Health and Safety Performance Metrics:** * Maintain arenaflex's health and safety performance metric objectives and understand how they relate to their responsibilities and obligations **How to Apply:** If you are a motivated and talented software engineer with a passion for innovation, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
