Job Overview As an IT Business Analyst at blithequark, you will play a vital role in providing IT administration, project management, and support to our IT Offices Group. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure the functional sustainability of our critical infrastructure, including server farm and remote communication room equipment. You will work closely with our team to manage, operate, maintain, and monitor all critical facilities infrastructure, as well as develop and implement departmental policies, guidelines, and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Provide IT administration, project management, and support to ensure the operational sustainability of our critical infrastructure Manage, operate, maintain, and monitor all critical facilities infrastructure, including server farm and remote communication room equipment Develop and implement departmental policies, guidelines, and procedures to ensure compliance with corporate standards and regulations Project management of server farm and remote communication room standards capital upgrades, renovations, and improvements Selection of IT and critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, best prices for products and services, and vendor compliance with contractual obligations Support IT Offices campus fiber ring to maintain the integrity and service continuity of our airport and campus facilities underground fiber ring Develop and implement plans for remote communication room space, UPS power, cooling, and physical layer IT infrastructure Provide proactive and break-fix support for alert/ticket remediation related to facilities, remote communication rooms, lab, and server farm equipment Essential Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience Knowledge of server farm technology and critical facilities systems Project management experience, preferably in a high-availability communication room or server farm operating environment Capital budgeting and project management experience for airport critical equipment life cycle replacement Space, UPS power, and critical cooling capacity management experience Selection of critical facilities services, ensuring accurate documentation, best prices for products and services, and vendor compliance with contractual obligations Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with varying shifts, extended hours, and on-call requirements Preferred Qualifications: While not essential, the following qualifications will give you an upper hand in this role: Four-year college degree or 5+ years of relevant experience IT Project Management experience with (at least 2 years) in a high-availability communication room or server farm operating environment Trade School Graduate Skills and Competencies: To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to adapt to changing priorities and deadlines Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records Career Growth Opportunities: At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
