As a Project Associate, you'll play a critical role in supporting our team and contributing to the achievement of our goals. Key Responsibilities Retrieve patient medical records from various hospital systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. Generate and prepare patient itemized bills in the required formats for internal and external audits. Extract and enter necessary information from and to hospital patient accounting systems, maintaining data integrity. Make phone calls to post-acute healthcare facilities to obtain required patient information, demonstrating excellent communication skills. Run and create reports, analyzing data to inform decision-making and drive project progress. Assist with information gathering and data entry as needed by the recovery team, showcasing adaptability and a willingness to support colleagues. Scan and index documents, maintaining organized and easily accessible records. Perform other project associate-related duties as required, demonstrating a flexible and proactive approach. Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Essential Qualifications: A strong foundation in data entry, medical records, or a related field, with a minimum of 1-2 years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications, with the ability to learn new systems quickly. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with healthcare professionals and other stakeholders. A detail-oriented and organized approach, with a strong commitment to accuracy and quality. The ability to work in a hybrid environment, splitting time between remote and in-office work (2/3 days on/off mix). Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in health information management or revenue integrity. Knowledge of hospital systems, patient accounting systems, and medical records management. Familiarity with billing and coding processes, as well as revenue cycle management. A degree in a relevant field, such as health information management, business administration, or a related discipline.
