Job Overview As a Medical Records Data Entry Specialist at blithequark, you will be an integral part of our Release of Information (ROI) team. Your primary responsibility will be to perform document preparation, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your work. This role requires strong organizational and clerical skills, as well as the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including insurance agents, beneficiaries, attorneys, patients, and hospital staff. Key Responsibilities Perform document preparation, including sorting and preparing hard copy records for scanning, and ensuring quality electronic images. Communicate with insurance agents and beneficiaries, preparing claim forms and related documentation for audits and/or mail-out. Review claim submissions, verify information, and record and maintain policies and claims information in database systems. Comply with federal, state, and company regulation policies, adhering to production procedures and completing internal documentation and tracking. Prepare correspondence with various stakeholders, including insurance agents, beneficiaries, attorneys, patients, and hospital staff. Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you should possess: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and computer knowledge, as well as medical terminology. Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English, with the ability to communicate effectively with coworkers and management. The ability to remove staples, sort, file, and box records, maintaining record order and sequence. Understanding of the importance of detail and accuracy, with the ability to work at a sustained pace to meet production rates while producing quality work. 1+ year of medical data entry experience and 1+ year of medical front desk experience.
