Job Overview As a Medicare Member Engagement Customer Service Representative at blithequark, you will be responsible for making outbound welcome calls to our members, handling other outbound call projects, and providing exceptional customer service to ensure that our members have a positive experience with our organization. This is a remote opportunity, and you will work from the comfort of your own home in the Pacific Standard Time Zone, with hours of operation from 8am to 4:30pm. Key Responsibilities Conduct direct outreach to new Medicare members to provide personal assistance with their new MAPD, DSNP, and MMP plans, serving as an advocate to ensure members are well-informed about plan benefits, provider options, and how to use their new plan benefits. Act as the member's navigator during the onboarding process, addressing any plan questions and anticipating any issues that may arise, and determining the nature of the member's needs and interests. Inform members of their plan resources and benefits, with a focus on the member's area of interest/needs, and follow up with members to ensure needs are met and members are having a positive plan experience. Develop relationships with members to be the go-to person for any future issues or questions, and log all contacts in a database. Participate in Member engagement work groups as needed to ensure Medicare member needs are being anticipated and addressed, and participate in regular member benefits training with the health plan, including the member advocate/engagement role. Qualifications and Requirements To be successful in this role, you must have a high school diploma, with an Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or a related field preferred. You should have at least 2 years of experience in customer service, consumer advocacy, and/or healthcare systems, with experience conducting intake, interviews, and/or research of consumer or provider issues. Essential Skills and Competencies Excellent written and verbal communication skills to collaborate internally and externally with members, providers, team members, and managers. Basic understanding of managed healthcare systems and Medicare, with experience with Medicare and Medicare managed plans such as MAPD, DSNP, and MMP preferred. Computer savvy, with experience using Genesys and/or Sales Force a plus. Bilingual in any of the following languages also a plus - Cantonese, Mandarin, or Korean. Top-notch communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
