**Experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist – International Freight Forwarding Industry**

We're now seeking an experienced Ocean Product Development Specialist to join our team and contribute to the growth and development of our ocean product. **Job Summary:** As an Ocean Product Development Specialist at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in supporting the growth of ocean volumes and enhancing the development of our ocean product. You'll work closely with our MD of Ocean, carrier development teams, and other stakeholders to implement strategies that increase volumes, maximize competitiveness, and enhance service quality. Your expertise will be essential in analyzing carrier service, routings, carrier performance, and supporting carrier service issues. You'll also support sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert, providing guidance and insights to drive business growth and success. **Key Responsibilities:** * Execute strategies to support the growth of ocean volumes and enhance the development of the ocean product * Work closely with the MD of Ocean to develop and implement pricing programs, review volume targets, and analyze carrier service and performance * Support sales and operations as an ocean subject matter expert, providing guidance and insights to drive business growth and success * Communicate strategies and market conditions internally and externally to stakeholders, including the MD of Ocean, global trade lane team, sales, and operations * Conduct regular service reviews to ensure agreed-upon KPIs are being met or exceeded * Assist in gathering, analyzing, and reporting information regarding performance and competitive activity * Work with the MD of Ocean and regional ocean management team to promote the ocean product * Manage annual budget, control, monitor, and report results on a regular basis to achieve budget targets * Collaborate with marketing to develop external and internal communications specific to the ocean product **Essential Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree or equivalent * At least 8 years of experience in the international freight forwarding industry, including direct ocean experience in working with ocean contracts, negotiating ocean rates, quoting ocean rates, and analyzing ocean rates and routing * Prior ocean carrier experience is a plus * Familiarity with Microsoft Office apps * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's degree or higher * Advanced knowledge of ocean freight forwarding, including carrier service, routings, and performance analysis * Experience with pricing programs and volume target analysis * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects **Skills and Competencies:** * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Business-oriented and remarkable business acumen * Strong interpersonal and leadership skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects * Familiarity with Microsoft Office apps * Experience with ocean freight forwarding, including carrier service, routings, and performance analysis **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At arenaflex, we're committed to empowering our employees to grow and thrive in their careers.
