Job Overview and Key Responsibilities In this dynamic and fast-paced role, you will work a variety of shifts to support our patients during the registration process. As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for answering questions, collecting accurate information, and addressing concerns with empathy and understanding. Your exceptional customer service skills, combined with your ability to work efficiently in a technology-driven environment, will enable you to provide seamless support to our patients and clinical teams. Key responsibilities include: Welcoming patients and families, answering questions, and providing clear instructions during the registration process Collecting and accurately inputting patient information, including demographics, insurance details, and medical history Building trust and rapport with patients, addressing their fears, concerns, and questions with compassion and empathy Working efficiently across multiple computer screens and programs to collect and input patient information Typing quickly and accurately to keep pace with patient interactions and clinical workflows Answering phone calls, responding to messages, and resolving patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner Collaborating with clinical teams to ensure smooth registration processes and minimize delays Staying up-to-date with changing healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures to provide accurate information and support Essential and Preferred Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess excellent customer service skills, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. Essential qualifications include: High School Diploma or GED Excellent customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or patient-facing environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients, families, and clinical teams Ability to work efficiently in a technology-driven environment, with proficiency in typing and computer navigation Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve patient inquiries in a timely and professional manner Preferred qualifications include: Previous experience in patient registration, healthcare administration, or a related field Knowledge of healthcare regulations, policies, and procedures, including HIPAA and patient confidentiality Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families from diverse backgrounds Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess a unique blend of technical, interpersonal, and emotional skills.
