Key Responsibilities Manage and maintain the production workflow for print, ensuring efficient execution and high-quality output Serve as the primary print producer for customer orders received in-store, online, and via email Utilize print equipment to produce proofs and samples for consultation and design quick edits as needed Train and coach associates to assist in print production, promoting a collaborative and skilled team environment Create and manage production standards and processes, driving consistency and excellence across the team Maintain machine functionality and organization, including planogramming of completed orders and supplies Demonstrate flexibility in responsibilities, including cleaning, stocking shelves, and other duties as assigned Drive customer satisfaction by assessing customer needs, providing exceptional customer service, and focusing on quality Essential Qualifications and Skills To succeed as a Print Production Lead at Staples, you will need: A flexible schedule that can adapt to the store's needs The ability to multi-task, prioritize, and rank production steps for multiple jobs Attention to detail and a keen eye for noticing quality issues throughout the print production process Effective conflict management skills, with the ability to resolve issues in a reasonable, nonconfrontational, and cooperative manner Honesty and integrity in handling customer and business information Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers, understand their needs, and provide exceptional service The ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment Basic computer skills, including opening, saving, and sending electronic files, email, and using Microsoft Word (or similar programs) Familiarity with desktop publishing software, including Adobe and Publisher The physical ability to lift and move supplies in the 10-50 pound range, stand, and walk continuously Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are highly valued: Previous experience in a print production or related role Knowledge of print production processes and equipment Leadership or supervisory experience, with a proven track record of training and coaching team members Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Print Production Lead at Staples, you will have access to a range of career development opportunities and learning benefits, including: A comprehensive career development program designed to help you grow and succeed Ongoing training and coaching to enhance your skills and knowledge Opportunities for advancement within the company, driven by a culture of promoting from within Work Environment and Company Culture At Staples, we pride ourselves on a fun, team-oriented retail culture that values collaboration, inclusivity, and customer satisfaction.
