About the Role We are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a Radiologic Technologist to work from home on a full-time night 8-hour shift. As a Radiologic Technologist at Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care by performing diagnostic radiographic procedures. Your expertise and technical skills will be essential in ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities Demonstrate clinical competency and technical skills as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Perform diagnostic radiographic procedures, positioning patients on the examining table and adjusting equipment to obtain optimum views of specific body areas as ordered by clinicians Use independent judgment to support radiological orders and perform procedures based on established technique charts Exhibit working knowledge and relationships with other departments as it relates to radiological services Demonstrate a basic understanding of patient care flow and insurance concepts Use appropriate technique charts and ensure markers are set appropriately Maintain logs for quality control (QC) based on manufacturers' recommendations Perform appropriate infection control processes Provide patient education pertaining to requested studies and aid in new staff orientation Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications: Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification by the State of California to practice and administer radiation Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing Knowledge of anatomy and physiology Basic computer knowledge Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are preferred: One (1) year of experience working under a Board-Certified Radiologist Previous experience in a similar role or healthcare setting Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong technical skills and knowledge of radiologic equipment and procedures Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Cedars-Sinai Marina del Rey Hospital, we are committed to supporting the growth and development of our staff.
