Job Summary As a Staff Development Coordinator, you will serve as a Clinical Learning & Development Specialist in long-term care settings. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, coordinating, teaching, and evaluating education and training programs within designated areas. This is a unique opportunity to directly impact care delivery through education and training, working with a dynamic and innovative team. Key Responsibilities: Assess, plan, coordinate, teach, and evaluate education and training programs within designated areas Develop alternative methodologies for education based on adult learning principles Collaborate with leaders, employees, educational facilities, and other community agencies and consortium institutions Assess, manage, and document needs of department related to rules and regulations, compliance risk management, and safety Coordinate, develop, and provide ongoing education within departments Understand the competency process of validation and facilitate research Serve as a resource to customers/clients and analyze and synthesize data to assess and evaluate educational needs Demonstrate effective collaborative skills with administrators, other educators, and health team members Use adult learning principles to assess, plan, coordinate, and provide educational programs Utilize research and health-related literature to enhance care practice Requirements: Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in a clinical field, training and development, organizational development, or healthcare field Currently holds a professional and unencumbered clinical license with the applicable state(s) administered examiners and awarded by a governmental licensing agency A minimum of one year of hands-on clinical experience required based on licensure Demonstrated involvement in clinical process improvement initiatives preferred Preferred Qualifications: One year of experience in long-term care Leadership and management skills Additional certifications, such as Emergency Nurses Association Membership, Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Skills and Competencies: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work with diverse groups of people Proficient in Microsoft Office/Windows applications Analytical decision-making and problem-solving skills Project management and group facilitation skills Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits: At Sanford Health, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
