Job Summary The Retail Customer Service Associate at blithequark is a critical role that requires a unique blend of customer service, sales, and operational skills. As a Store Consultant, you will be responsible for providing expert advice and solutions to our customers, utilizing your knowledge of our products and services to meet their individual needs. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring that their experience in our store is nothing short of exceptional. From taking orders and coordinating activities to operating and maintaining equipment, you will be a key player in the success of our retail store. Key Responsibilities Deliver a positive customer experience by utilizing consultative skills to anticipate customer needs, suggest alternatives, and provide solutions to meet customer needs Provide customer expertise in printing, signs and graphics, and shipping product lines, recommending appropriate blithequark products and services Take complex customer orders using order systems and provide accurate pricing information Assemble parcels and prepare goods for shipping, ensuring that all packages are properly wrapped, labeled, and dispatched Set up and operate printing, binding, and other related equipment, using customer-supplied original media and documents Maintain a safe, clean, and orderly retail store, adhering to all blithequark standards and procedures Process financial transactions using a Point of Sale terminal (POS), including handling cash and making change Clean, repair, and stock all retail store printing and shipping equipment and supplies to provide optimal performance and availability Essential Qualifications and Requirements High school diploma or equivalent education 6+ months of specialized experience in a customer-facing role, preferably in a retail environment Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and other team members Ability to stand during entire shift, excluding meal and rest periods, and move and lift 55 pounds Ability to bend/twist at the waist and knees, and perform work activities requiring cooperation and instruction Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, under substantial pressure, and maintain attention and concentration for extended periods of time Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in a customer service or sales role Knowledge of print, signs & graphics, and shipping products and services Experience with Point of Sale terminals (POS) and financial transactions Ability to work with minimal supervision and report regularly to work, maintaining established business hours Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At blithequark, we are committed to the growth and development of our team members.
