Cardiac ICU Role Overview Our Cardiac ICU Universal Bed Model offers a fast-paced environment where you'll care for high acuity patients, including those post cardiology interventional, post vascular surgical/interventional, and advanced heart failure patients. As a Cardiac ICU RN, you'll be part of a team that values learning, mentoring, and professional growth. The department boasts a highly skilled and educated team, with 90% BSN prepared nurses and 58% specialty certified, ensuring a collaborative and supportive work environment. Key Responsibilities Provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Cardiac ICU environment. Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care. Participate in our telemetry to ICU training program to enhance your skills. Engage in our Clinical Ladder Program and Shared Governance councils to contribute to professional development and departmental decisions. Utilize your expertise and experience to mentor and support colleagues. Stay updated with the latest practices and advancements in cardiovascular care through our continuing education opportunities. Qualifications and Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. Hold a current RN license. Possess Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or be willing to obtain it within 30 days of hire. Have a minimum of 1+ year of experience in Cardiovascular ICU, Cardiovascular PCU, or Telemetry. Preferred qualifications include: BSN degree. Specialty certification in cardiovascular nursing. Previous experience in a Magnet recognized organization.
