Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Customer Engineer to join our team, focusing on composite materials and manufacturing technologies. As a Senior Customer Engineer, you will play a crucial role in developing and nurturing new composite materials and manufacturing technologies aligned with market and customer needs. You will be the principal technical interface with our customers, providing expert advice and support to ensure the successful application of our products and technologies. Key Responsibilities Develop and nurture new composite materials and manufacturing technologies aligned with market and customer needs Lead concept development activities for new opportunities, coupling material, process, and part design Act as the principal technical interface with customers, providing expert advice and support Assess technology gaps and provide advice for future product and process development Promote arenaflex products and technologies, articulating value propositions to customers Advise on materials and process selections for new composite material applications Lead and support projects requiring material manufacturing, prototyping, and part builds Provide field technical support to major aerospace OEM and subcontractors for new and legacy programs Identify and lead the resolution of material issues in aerospace composite shops Act as the "Voice of the Customer" to liaise with the greater part of arenaflex to affect a mutually acceptable resolution Advise customers on processing and properties of arenaflex products Support trade studies and provide recommendations on product options and selection based on customer parts and applications Lead and support research and development activities that aim to achieve technical and business objectives Support simulation analysis and development for composite part manufacturing and structural performance Identify potential new applications for arenaflex products and support Account Managers in capturing new business Essential Qualifications Bachelor's degree minimum in a relevant Engineering or Material Science discipline Knowledge of aerospace composite part fabrication Experience resolving product and process capability issues in composite part applications Minimum 5 years of demonstrated work experience in composites, including problem-solving, technical presentations, project management, relationship building, and identification of new opportunities Minimum of 2 years' experience reviewing composite part designs/drawings for manufacturability and specification compliance Understanding of the aerospace industry, including OEMs, their suppliers, various programs, aerospace quality systems, composite testing requirements, statistical process control, and capability Preferred Qualifications Master's or PhD degree in a relevant Engineering or Material Science discipline Additional experience in composite materials, manufacturing technologies, and customer-facing roles Strong understanding of business line strategies and the ability to establish objectives and customer touch points at assigned accounts Experience with simulation analysis and development for composite part manufacturing and structural performance Skills and Competencies Strong technical expertise in composite materials and manufacturing technologies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and stakeholders Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on collaboration and customer satisfaction Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand and support business objectives and strategies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees. Compensation, Perks, and Benefits arenaflex offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $90,880 to $113,600 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
