Job Overview As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing large-scale data applications in cloud-based environments. You will work closely with process owners, product owners, and business stakeholders to drive the adoption of data-driven solutions and ensure that data engineering projects meet business requirements. Your expertise in data engineering, cloud computing, and data analysis will be essential in driving the success of arenaflex's data initiatives. Key Responsibilities Contribute to the development of arenaflex's data product fabric and tasks, driving competitive advantages through proactive data engineering solutions. Collaborate with data scientists and product teams to drive solutioning and proof-of-concept conversations. Design, build, and manage large-scale data pipelines from internal and external data sources to support new product launches and drive data quality across data products. Develop and own automation and monitoring structures that capture metrics and operational KPIs for data pipeline quality and performance. Implement best practices around systems integration, security, performance, and data management. Enable the business by creating value through the increased adoption of data, data science, and business intelligence capabilities. Develop and optimize strategies to "productionalize" data science models. Define and manage SLAs for data products and processes running in production. Support large-scale experimentation done by data scientists. Model new approaches and build solutions at scale. Research advanced techniques and methodologies. Create documentation for learnings and knowledge transfer. Develop and review reusable packages or libraries. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong foundation in data engineering, software development, and cloud computing. The following qualifications are essential: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical fields. 2+ years of experience in Data Lake Framework, Data Warehousing, and Data Analysis tools. 2+ years of experience with SQL development and performance tuning, and programming experience in languages like Python, PySpark, Scala, etc. 2+ years of experience in cloud data engineering with Azure. Familiarity with Azure cloud services. Azure Certification is a plus. Experience with integration of multi-cloud services with on-premises technologies. Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and building high-volume ETL/ELT pipelines. Experience with data profiling and data quality tools like Apache Griffin, Deequ, and Great Expectations. Experience building/working with highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large datasets. Experience with at least one MPP database technology like Redshift, Teradata, or SnowFlake. Experience with running and scaling applications on cloud infrastructure and containerized services like Kubernetes. Experience with version control systems like Github and collaboration and CI tools. Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and Azure AI tools. Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and experiences are preferred: Experience with statistical/ML methods. Experience building solutions in the retail or supply chain space. Understanding of metadata management, data lineage, and data glossaries. Working knowledge of agile development, including DevOps and DataOps concepts. Knowledge of business intelligence tools (like PowerBI).
