About the Role We are seeking a talented and dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in the San Francisco Metro Area, CA. Key Responsibilities As a Staff Accountant at YPTC, your key responsibilities will include: Weekly and monthly processing of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll Bank account and balance sheet reconciliations Monthly financials and related analysis Grant tracking and monitoring Cash flow projections and monitoring Preparation for outside audits Interacting with clients, their staff, Board of Directors, and Finance Committees on a regular basis Traveling to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance Minimum 3 years of related experience in public accounting and/or industry; 5+ years preferred Outstanding communication skills and a positive attitude Knowledge of, or interest in learning, multiple accounting software packages; QuickBooks experience is a plus Intermediate-level Excel skills A willingness to travel to client offices as needed when it is safe to do so Nonprofit experience preferred, but not required Preferred Qualifications While not essential, the following qualifications are preferred: Experience working with nonprofit organizations Knowledge of accounting principles and standards Experience with financial analysis and budgeting Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and competencies: Strong accounting and financial skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to learn quickly and adapt to new situations Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Career Growth Opportunities At YPTC, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees.
