About the Job arenaflex is seeking a highly skilled Staff Data Engineer to join its team as a technical powerhouse. This position offers the opportunity to work with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product groups, and external partners, to gather required data and design, develop, and implement large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with colleagues and stakeholders to understand data requirements and develop solutions that meet business objectives. Work closely with engineering, product teams, and external partners to collect necessary data for analysis and decision-making. Design, develop, and implement large-scale, high-volume, high-performance data models and pipelines for Data Lake and Data Warehouse, ensuring scalability and reliability. Build reusable architectures that improve the reliability and flexibility of ETLs (Extract, Transform, Load) processes. Manage a portfolio of data products that deliver high-grade, reliable data to stakeholders. Mentor and coach colleagues to enhance their design and implementation skills, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, candidates should possess: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Information Technology, or Data Science. 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, business intelligence, or a similar role, with a strong background in programming languages like Python or Java. 3+ years of experience with ETL tools and workflow management systems like Airflow, Flink, Oozie, and Azkaban, utilizing cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP. Expertise in Database fundamentals, SQL, and distributed computing, with experience in distributed data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Hive, Druid, Voila) and streaming technologies like Kafka or Flink. Familiarity with reporting tools such as Tableau, Superset, and Looker, and experience working with Snowflake, Redshift, PostgreSQL, or other DBMS platforms. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical teams. A self-starter with strong organizational skills, capable of working in a fast-paced environment and prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines. Ability to think strategically, analyze complex data, and interpret market and consumer information to inform business decisions. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
