Role Overview and Responsibilities In this pivotal role, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of seasoned procurement professionals, gaining firsthand experience in managing large subcontracts throughout their entire lifecycle. This includes proposal phases, execution, and closeout, providing a unique chance to deepen your procurement expertise and take on key responsibilities in managing high-value subcontracts. Your primary responsibilities will include: Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of subcontracts Managing subcontract lifecycle activities, including proposal, award, performance, and closeout phases Developing and negotiating subcontract terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies Coordinating with internal stakeholders, such as program management, engineering, and finance, to ensure alignment and effective communication Conducting risk assessments and developing mitigation strategies to ensure subcontract performance and compliance Analyzing and resolving subcontract-related issues, providing recommendations for process improvements Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of subcontract activities, ensuring compliance with auditing requirements Essential Qualifications and Skills To be successful in this role, you will need to possess the following essential qualifications and skills: Experience in contract management and/or procurement, preferably in the US DoD industry Knowledge of FAR and DFAR regulations, with the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical context Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and compliance Preferred qualifications and skills include: Experience with Lockheed Martin procurement systems and processes Bachelor's degree in supply chain management or a related field Professional certification in contract management or procurement, such as CPCM or CPSM Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At Lockheed Martin, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, providing opportunities for career advancement and professional development.
