Job Responsibilities As a Summer Remote Intern - Editorial - Adult, your responsibilities will include: Evaluating submissions and writing reader's reports to help editors decide which manuscripts to pursue Assisting with copywriting and researching comp titles to stay up-to-date on market trends Attending virtual editorial meetings and providing insights based on your own reading and in response to editors' submissions Collaborating with internal departments to package, market, and publicize books Learning about the publishing process and our business through panels, networking events, and employee speaker series Internship Program Details Our 10-week paid remote internship program is designed to provide you with a comprehensive introduction to the publishing industry. As an intern, you will work 28 hours per week and be paid $21/hour. You will also have the opportunity to network with experienced professionals, attend virtual events, and learn about the latest trends and developments in the industry.
