Job Overview The External Support Engineer is a critical role at arenaflex, responsible for providing technical support to external content creation teams that use the company's tools and platforms. As the primary point of contact for these teams, you will be the bridge between the content creators and the tools engineering team, ensuring that any issues or concerns are addressed promptly and efficiently. Your expertise and guidance will be instrumental in helping these teams to get the most out of arenaflex's tools and platforms, and your input will help to shape the future development of these products. Key Responsibilities Provide technical support to content and external teams in regards to the use of content tools, including troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner Create reference materials and provide training to get external teams up to speed with the toolset, ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills needed to use the tools effectively Solve and debug possible issues with tools and workflows, working closely with the tools engineering team to identify and implement solutions Escalate more complex or problematic issues to the tool development team, and work with production to track these issues in Jira, ensuring that they are properly documented and addressed Advocate for tools, workflow improvements, and suggestions from external teams, providing feedback and recommendations to the tools engineering team to help drive continuous improvement Partner with other engineers to develop tools and processes that improve efficiency and quality, contributing to the development of new features and products Guide or lead cross-disciplinary dialogs to drive features from initial concept to completion, working collaboratively with stakeholders to ensure that products meet the needs of external content creation teams Exemplify reliability, accountability, and professionalism in all work-related interactions, providing exceptional support and service to external teams and stakeholders Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. The following qualifications are essential: A degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience Experience supporting a live service or tool environment, with a strong understanding of the challenges and opportunities of working in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment Unity 3D game and tool development experience, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of game development Experience with Jira, Confluence, or other defect tracking software, with the ability to use these tools to track and manage issues effectively iOS and Android mobile development experience, with a strong understanding of the principles and practices of mobile app development 5 years' experience in delivering production-level code in a professional environment, with a strong track record of success in software development Preferred Qualifications In addition to the essential qualifications, the following skills and experience are preferred: Ability to read and understand C# code, with experience working with this programming language in a professional environment Good written and verbal communication skills, including experience working with external partners and stakeholders Positive attitude and ability to receive and provide objective and constructive feedback, with a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement Excellent organization skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously in a fast-paced environment Self-motivating, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve common goals and objectives Skills and Competencies To be successful in this role, you will need to have a range of skills and competencies, including: Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex issues Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with external teams and stakeholders Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and implement solutions to complex problems Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with the ability to prioritize and manage numerous requests simultaneously Strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with a willingness to learn new skills and technologies Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits At arenaflex, we are committed to the growth and development of our employees, and we offer a range of opportunities for learning and career advancement.
