Your expertise in handling customer inquiries, explaining complex medical benefits, and navigating the open enrollment process will be essential in ensuring a seamless experience for our customers. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our customers, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders to resolve issues, provide information, and drive business growth. Key Responsibilities Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience from the outset. Answer phone and email inquiries promptly, responding to customer concerns and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner. Refer unresolved queries to your manager, ensuring that complex issues are escalated and addressed appropriately. Provide information about network providers to re-enrolling and prospective members, helping them make informed decisions about their healthcare options. Assist with application submissions, ensuring that customers receive the support they need to navigate the enrollment process. Contact carriers to track enrollments, changes, and cancellations, maintaining accurate records and ensuring seamless communication between stakeholders. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you will need to possess a combination of skills, experience, and personal qualities that enable you to deliver exceptional customer service and support. The following qualifications and skills are essential: High school diploma or equivalent, demonstrating a strong foundation in education and a commitment to lifelong learning. Bilingual skills preferred, allowing you to communicate effectively with a diverse range of customers and stakeholders. Experience working remotely, with the ability to self-motivate, manage your time effectively, and maintain productivity in a virtual environment. Previous experience as a customer service specialist or in a similar role, ideally within a healthcare setting, providing a strong understanding of the industry and its unique challenges. Healthcare experience is a plus, with knowledge of medical benefits, insurance carriers, and the open enrollment process being highly desirable. Proficient in computer use with above-average typing speed, enabling you to efficiently manage customer inquiries, update records, and communicate with stakeholders. Detail-oriented with data entry experience, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of your work. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information in a clear, concise, and empathetic manner. Additional Requirements In addition to the above qualifications and skills, you will need to be available to start work on September 23, 2024, and be open to short-term work (4-5 months). You will also need to be available to work Monday – Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM PT, with a willingness to work daytime and evening shifts as required.
