About the Role We are seeking experienced math teachers to provide virtual small group instruction to middle school students (grades 6-8) across the country. As a Virtual Math Tutor, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, personalized instruction to students who require additional support in math. This is a part-time, online tutoring position that offers flexible hours and a competitive pay rate of $44 per hour, including a 10% bonus for light preparation. Key Responsibilities: Provide virtual small group instruction to middle school students in math, using online platforms such as Google Classroom and Zoom Develop and implement personalized lesson plans to meet the unique needs of each student Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly Communicate effectively with students, parents, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date on best practices in math education Requirements To be considered for this exciting opportunity, you should have: At least 3 years of math lead teaching experience in a U.S. K-12 public, private, and/or charter school A strong background in math education, with a deep understanding of middle school math curriculum and standards Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues Experience with online learning platforms, such as Google Classroom and Zoom, is highly desirable A active teaching credential or equivalent experience is preferred Preferred Qualifications: Experience teaching K-12 math in the classroom, with a focus on middle school students Experience teaching in an online environment, with a strong understanding of how to engage and support students in a virtual setting Working knowledge of Microsoft Teams and other online collaboration tools Experience with remediation, intervention, or small group instruction SPED or ELL teaching experience, with a commitment to advancing equity in schools What We Offer In return for your expertise and passion, we offer a competitive pay rate of $44 per hour, including a 10% bonus for light preparation.
