This includes verifying and revivifying benefits, translating and entering new or refill prescriptions into our pharmacy information system, communicating and collecting copay amounts, obtaining authorizations, and working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues. **Key Responsibilities:** * Provide telephone support to patients receiving life-sustaining specialty drug therapy * Coordinate and process new patient medication orders and reorders * Verify and revivify benefits * Translate and enter new or refill prescriptions into the pharmacy information system * Communicate and collect copay amounts * Obtain authorizations * Work with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and defer orders with accounts receivable or clinical issues * Demonstrate superb communication skills to effectively interact with insurance companies, patients, and internal partners **Essential Qualifications:** * One year of experience in a customer service role handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs over the phone * One year of work experience with Windows-based applications like Windows, Microsoft Office, internet navigation, and email applications * One year of computer keyboarding experience, skills, and aptitude * Verifiable high school diploma or equivalent **Preferred Qualifications:** * Pre-existing healthcare work experience and familiarity with benefits, insurance, prescriptions, and medical terminology * Experience working in a fast-paced environment **Skills and Competencies:** * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Proficiency in Windows-based applications and computer keyboarding * Compassionate and genuine care for patients and customers **Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits:** At blithequark, we're committed to helping our team members grow and develop their skills.
