MovieWeb: Weekday Evening News Editor: Movies & TV Content

This is a freelance remote position.

Please note that this role does not involve video editing or script editing.

Responsibilities: ? Edit and publish a minimum of 8 movie/TV articles per day on the Movie/TV News team ? Assure there is content to be published and planned on current News topics ? Participate in writer development and general writer management ? Oversee and facilitate writer communication in Slack/Asana ? Send feedback to writers according to MovieWeb's standards (as per our writing guides) ? Work with new writers to develop their skills... and help them adapt to MovieWeb's standards ? Work with existing writers to develop those suitable for internal development (staff writing, self-publishing, editing) ? Auditing Content Value and implementing best practices ? Ensure daily and monthly News output goals are met ? Ideation and news sourcing support ? Must be available weekday evenings
