Job Summary The Lock Desk Specialist will be responsible for processing rate lock, change, and extension requests while adhering to and enforcing rate lock policies. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in Secondary Marketing or Capital Markets, strong mathematical and analytical skills, and excellent communication and customer service skills. As a Lock Desk Specialist, you will work closely with the Mortgage Department Team to implement system changes, testing, and process flow enhancements, and provide real-time training and support to cross-functional departments. Key Responsibilities: Process rate lock requests in Encompass, clearly and effectively communicating with requestors as needed. Process change requests, reprice requests, and extension requests, and assist Loan Officers with post-lock file inquiries. Work closely with the Mortgage Department Team to implement system changes, testing, and process flow enhancements. Assist with system, product, and procedural inquiries. Monitor pipeline locks and work with sales and operations teams to determine actions needed. Provide real-time training and support to cross-functional departments. Develop and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and productivity. Essential Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree in a related field preferred. 1+ year of Mortgage Lending Experience preferred. Encompass experience preferred. Strong Mathematical/Analytical Skills, Deductive Reasoning, and Attention to Detail required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word). Excellent oral and written communication skills. Strong customer service skills. Ability to multitask, work independently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications: Prior Secondary Marketing or Capital Markets experience. Experience with mortgage industry systems and software. Certifications or training in mortgage lending or related fields.
