Logistics Data Specialist We are seeking a highly skilled GDSN Data Specialist to manage, optimize, and maintain accurate product and logistical data across our global supply chain networks in the food service industry. This role is critical in ensuring that all product information—ranging from packaging specifications, nutritional information, and handling instructions—is accurate, standardized, and synchronized across all GDSN-certified platforms such as Syndigo, Salsify, and OneWorldSync, enabling seamless collaboration with distributors, retailers, and partners. The ideal candidate combines technical proficiency, analytical rigor, and a deep understanding of food service logistics. You will serve as a key liaison between internal teams (Supply Chain, Operations, Marketing, and Quality Assurance) and external partners, ensuring that data integrity is maintained throughout the product lifecycle. DAILY DELIVERABLES • Maintain, update, and validate logistical and product data across GDSN platforms (Syndigo, Salsify, OneWorldSync). • Ensure all product data complies with GDSN standards, regulatory requirements, and distributor specifications. • Monitor data quality and integrity, identifying gaps or inconsistencies and implementing corrective actions. • Manage product master data, including UPC/GTIN, packaging, dimensions, weight, and handling information. • Support onboarding of new products and distribution partners within GDSN networks. • Generate reports and dashboards on data quality, updates, and compliance for internal stakeholders. • Stay updated on industry regulations, food safety standards, and data management best practices. • Assist in ad hoc projects that improve operational efficiency and data accuracy. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • Proven experience managing product and logistical data in the food service, FMCG, or retail industries. • Strong experience with GDSN platforms such as Syndigo, Salsify, and OneWorldSync. • Familiarity with Sysco or similar large-scale food distributors is a plus. • Strong understanding of food distribution logistics, packaging, and handling data requirements. • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and analytical with the ability to ensure data accuracy and consistency. • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of liaising with multiple stakeholders. • Ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and meet tight deadlines. • Proficiency in spreadsheet, database, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets, SQL, or BI tools). • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the food service sector is preferred. • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Information Management, or related field.
