Job Overview: Medicaid and CHIP Managed Care Compliance Specialist We are seeking a seasoned Medicaid and CHIP Managed Care Compliance Specialist to support the Department of Health (DOH) in adhering to the CMS Final Rule on "Medicaid and Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) Managed Care Access, Finance, and Quality." As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in analyzing CMS guidance, developing a requirements matrix, and contributing to the creation of a roadmap for compliance. Key Responsibilities: Interpret and analyze CMS Final Rule guidance related to Medicaid and CHIP managed care, ensuring a deep understanding of the regulations and their implications. Collaborate with DOH and client project leadership to develop a detailed project schedule, ensuring timely and effective project delivery. Assist in the creation of a CMS Final Rule Requirements Matrix, focusing on managed care access, finance, and quality, to identify key compliance areas. Engage in stakeholder interviews to understand existing managed care processes and identify compliance gaps, providing strategic recommendations for improvement. Contribute to the development of a Gap Analysis and Implementation Roadmap, offering expert insights and guidance to support DOH in meeting CMS managed care requirements. Provide ongoing support to DOH in their efforts to meet CMS managed care requirements, ensuring sustained compliance and quality. Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Public Health, or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in healthcare principles and practices. At least 5 years of experience in Medicaid and CHIP managed care, with a focus on compliance, showcasing a deep understanding of the regulatory landscape. Strong understanding of CMS regulations concerning managed care, with the ability to interpret and apply complex guidance. Experience in project planning, gap analysis, and roadmap development, highlighting your ability to drive projects forward and deliver results. Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders and drive compliance initiatives. Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team, demonstrating flexibility, self-motivation, and a commitment to teamwork. Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of eMedNY system operations, providing a valuable understanding of the Medicaid managed care landscape. Experience working with 'Big 4' consulting firms, showcasing your ability to navigate complex organizational structures and deliver high-quality results.
