About the Role In this critical role, you will play a key part in assisting healthcare professionals with the processing of medical claim appeals. Your responsibilities will include a range of administrative tasks, project support, and customer service. As a Medical Billing and Claims Professional, you will be the backbone of the operation, ensuring the smooth processing of claims and appeals. Key Responsibilities Data Management: Enter and manage data from various sources into the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Case Analysis and Research: Analyze cases and perform research to support the decision-making process, demonstrating your expertise and attention to detail. Reporting: Generate and verify reports, providing critical insights and information to stakeholders. Administrative Support: Perform other duties as assigned, showcasing your flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing priorities. Essential Qualifications To be considered for this role, you must meet the following minimum qualifications: Healthcare Experience: 2-4 years of healthcare-related experience, preferably in medical billing, claims, or account processing. Education: An Associate's degree is preferred, demonstrating a foundational understanding of the healthcare industry. Communication Skills: Excellent organizational, interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders. Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, with a typing speed of at least 30 WPM. Work Environment: Ability to perform in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented work environment, with a high level of productivity and accuracy. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Industry Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of medical billing and claims processing, with a strong understanding of industry regulations and best practices. Technical Expertise: Experience with medical billing software and systems, with the ability to quickly adapt to new technologies. Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
