Key Responsibilities In this critical role, you will be responsible for handling a high volume of charge and payment transactions, ensuring accuracy and meeting production standards. Your primary duties will include: Transcribing data from source documents into our computer system, including charge tickets, insurance explanations of benefits, and personal payments. Reviewing and accepting charge sessions from assigned charge work queues with a high level of accuracy, analyzing charges for discrepancies or missing information, and referring issues to the appropriate staff for follow-up. Inputting payments and adjustments, reviewing insurance explanations of benefits to ensure contractual requirements are met, and documenting discrepancies for further action. Assisting with other clerical assignments such as scanning, filing, mail processing and delivery, and patient registration, demonstrating your versatility and willingness to support the team. Essential Qualifications To be successful in this role, you will need: A high school diploma or equivalent, providing a solid foundation in basic skills and knowledge. At least two years of data entry experience, or a combination of related education and experience, demonstrating your ability to work accurately and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable: Previous experience in a billing or healthcare environment, providing valuable context and understanding of the industry. Advanced skills in data entry software and technology, enabling you to quickly adapt to our systems and processes. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, allowing you to identify and resolve discrepancies and issues effectively.
