Job Summary The role of the performance analyst is to support the day-to-day investment reporting processes of the organization and maintain responsibility for investment oversight duties to clients. The performance analyst is responsible for preparing materials for client investment meetings. The performance analyst is expected to gain familiarity with the firm’s investment reporting processes and to identify opportunities for improved efficiency whenever possible. The performance analyst must be able to understand the context and nuances of investment performance and communicate clearly and effectively with stakeholders, internally and externally. Responsibilities and Duties • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on client and prospect investment options • Support formal investment monitoring processes along with specific client-related investment projects • Develop materials for client investment meetings with particular attention to detail • Maintain and improve investment performance data and reporting processes • Enhance personal competence by attending industry events and conferences, participating in webinars, keeping up with industry developments, etc. • Gain a basic understanding of retirement plans and the fiduciary services PlanPILOT provides to its clients Qualifications and Skills • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance or Economics • CFA candidates encouraged to apply • 1-3 years job experience preferred • Demonstrated interest in investments • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills • Strong project management, follow-up, and ability to execute to completion under tight deadlines • Critical thinker with exceptional problem-solving capabilities • Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to bring new ideas to the team • Continuous learner, proactive and self-motivated to expand knowledge base • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) • Self-starter with strong attention to organization and detail • Adaptability as the company grows and evolves Work Conditions The Performance Analyst is a full-time role, based in Chicago, IL and may work in a hybrid arrangement with a combination of in-office and remote work.
