Project Manager, Mortgage & Operations Enablement

About the position SoFi is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Operations Project Management Office, focusing on both the Mortgage Operations Team and strategic Operations Enablement projects. This role is pivotal in ensuring that Member Engagement teams are equipped with efficient tools and processes to serve members effectively. The Project Manager will oversee the implementation of various operational projects, collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and successful project delivery. Responsibilities • Leverage strong project management experience to define scope, facilitate requirements, execute projects, proactively resolve blockers, and add value. , • Manage/engage with multiple projects concurrently while ensuring all project artifacts and operational readiness activities are addressed. , • Provide a single point of contact for business partners on assigned projects. , • Work with internal customers to clearly define and document end-to-end requirements and testing plans. , • Scope projects and develop implementation project plans with measurable goals, objectives, tasks, and timelines, and monitor progress toward achievement. , • Ensure consistent project management, operational efficiency, and regulatory compliance, while prioritizing member/agent experience and driving business goals. , • Establish and conduct meetings to communicate expectations, project roles, status updates, track open issues, and work with stakeholders to resolve issues as required. , • Identify and manage project dependencies, risk mitigation, critical path items, and follow appropriate methodologies. , • Maintain excellent communication with all levels of management, be responsive to customers, and provide appropriate training and cross-training to other team members. Requirements • Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, technology or a related field. , • 3+ years project management or operational management experience; preferably within mortgage or banking industries. , • 5-8 years of hands-on experience within a financial services environment. , • PMP, CAPM, or SCM certification is preferred. , • Lending systems knowledge including loan origination, loan servicing, credit decisioning, and compliance reporting. , • Familiarity with Operations servicing channels and agent tools including CRM, Phone, IVR, Chat, and SMS. , • Ability to react to change quickly and implement new processes & procedures. , • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision. , • Proficient with financial reports, business intelligence tools, and workflow design. Nice-to-haves • Familiarity with end-to-end mortgage, originations, fulfillment, and servicing. , • Ability to effectively network and build partnerships in a fast-paced environment. , • Excellent communication skills to write and communicate clearly to internal stakeholders and vendors.
