Job title: QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER Company: Crescend Technologies Job description: Description: Representative Duties and Tasks: • The Quality Manager is responsible for the management and improvement of the quality system. • Maintain the implementation and effectiveness of the quality system according to the requirements of AS9100. • Ensure that processes needed for the quality system are established, implemented and maintained. • Report to top management on quality system performance and any improvements needed. • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the company. • Manage quality control inspection and supervise and support the inspectors as needed for both in-process inspection and incoming inspection. • Actively participate in engineering design assurance activities: design reviews, manufacturing readiness reviews, etc. • Participates in Supplier Approval process with primary responsibility for Supplier Quality and Process audits. • Develop and conduct in-house training on related to product quality and quality management systems. • Initiate and manage an internal quality audit program in accordance with the requirements of the quality system; train and supervise auditors as needed. • Maintain document control of documented information within the quality management system. • Manage the assignment and document control of work instructions. • Develop and maintain a reasonably high level of product knowledge. • Manage the segregation and disposition of nonconforming material. • Manage the assignment and completion of corrective and preventive actions. • Participate in Pre-contract and Contract planning. • Ensure compliance to customer quality requirements • Work with engineering and manufacturing to establish and maintain effective inspection criteria. • Work with personnel and processes throughout the company in order to drive continuous improvement of the quality system. • Provide information / metrics / lessons learned as required in support of corporate initiatives and continual improvement. • Other duties as assigned. The Quality Manager is expected to perform job tasks with no supervision, and minimum level of process support from upper management. • QA Manager will also act as Facility Security Officer (FSO). Must be eligible to receive Secret Clearance. Must be proficient with computer software, able to manage Access forms, and learn how to manage the necessary modules of the ERP software. Interface: • Interfacing with coworkers, and customers • Interfaces directly with Customer and/or DCMA or other outside inspection personnel. Requirements Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or Mechanical Engineering or the equivalent experience is required. In addition, a minimum of 7 years of directly related experience is required. A minimum of ten years of experience is preferred. Must be familiar with IPC-A-610, certification may be required within 30 days of hire. Expertise in Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001 required, AS9100 preferred. Familiarity with electronics manufacturing techniques, RF circuitry, electronic product qualification testing, reliability analysis, materials and failure analysis techniques are highly desirable. Additional Information • Works as an individual contributor in a lead role on one or more projects or as the leader of a QA Team on several small projects. Participates as an active member of one or more project teams in a highly technical product development and production area. Provides work direction to lower level QA personnel, and Inspectors. • Must be able to travel 20% of the time.
