Quality Assurance/Test Engineer (Remote)

This a Full Remote job, the offer is available from: United States, South Carolina (USA) Overview: NIWC Atlantic Software Services requires ISHPI to provide emerging Department of Defense (DoD) and Department of Navy (DON) information technology, to design, develop, engineer, and maintain systems that will improve customer organizational efficiency. ISHPI provides support in the areas of Administrative Services, Applications Integration Management, Corporate Strategy Planning and Execution, Information Assurance (IA), Information Resource Management, and Information Technology (IT) Operations. Further task includes new standards engineering, prototype installation, application development, data interoperability, system design, system management and maintenance, data collection, analysis, and other management and implementation efforts in support of data translation, data mediation, and data mapping, test and evaluation. Responsibilities: • Test all software releases, including new features, enhancements, and fixes for bugs and defects. • Design, implement, and conduct test and evaluation procedures to ensure system requirements are met. • Develop, release, and maintain manual and automated test procedures. • Work across teams and coding platforms such as Appian, Service Now, Archibus • Perform and document exploratory testing results. • Test STIGs for functionality on IT systems. • Evaluate, recommend, and implement automated test tools and strategies. • Report status of test cases to project leads. • Work with product owners to understand desired application capabilities and testing scenarios and deadlines. • Support customer UAT events. Qualifications: Education: BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or other related discipline. Education and Degree substitute: ABET accredited MS degree in stated fields will allow for 4 years of experience substitution and ABET accredited PhD in stated fields will allow for five (5) years of experience substitution. Experience: Six (6) years of experience in Software testing, to include: designing, implementing, and conducting test and evaluation procedures.. Automate software testing processes, and conduct software performance analysis. Conduct white-box testing, black-box testing, end-to-end testing, integration testing, and regression testing. QA documentation (test cases & scenarios, RTM) and bug documentation in ticket tracking system. Identify risks and constrains, contingency plans and test deliverables. Experience may be achieved simultaneously. Prior Navy related experience preferred.
