As an Associate Instructional Designer, you'll play a critical role in creating high-quality training content, modules, courses, job aids, and reference materials for various audiences within the Support Community and Field Leadership organization. You'll collaborate with Educational Architects to design and develop learning experiences that meet the diverse needs of Home Depot's employees. Key Responsibilities Content Development : Identify, curate, and gather data based on project needs, and create storyboards and develop error-free educational material in various formats (50% of the time). Subject Matter Expertise : Direct internal and external subject matter experts to obtain necessary job and project information (20% of the time). eLearning Tools and Software : Utilize standard eLearning development tools and software, such as Articulate Storyline and Presenter, Adobe Captivate (10% of the time). Project Communication : Proactively communicate task and project status to client groups and management (10% of the time). Quality Assurance : Review and edit material against accepted Home Depot standards for quality (10% of the time). Requirements and Qualifications To be successful in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as Education, Instructional Design, or Communications. Proven experience in instructional design, adult learning, and eLearning development. Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders, subject matter experts, and team members. Proficiency in eLearning development tools , such as Articulate Storyline and Presenter, Adobe Captivate. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues in content development. Preferred Qualifications While not required, the following qualifications will give you a competitive edge: Experience with learning management systems (LMS) and learning experience platforms (LXP). Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design models. Certifications in instructional design , such as Certified Instructional Designer (CID) or Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP).
