They are seeking a Database Administrator to manage and maintain their database landscape hosted on Azure Services, ensuring optimal performance, security, and compliance with data governance policies. Responsibilities • Manage and maintain the database landscape hosted on Azure Services, including multiple instances of Microsoft SQL Server operating globally. • Collaborate with software developers and other stakeholders to ensure the optimal performance, security, availability, and scalability of the database systems. • Implement and monitor backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies for the database systems. • Design and develop database schemas, tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes. • Perform database tuning, optimization, and troubleshooting using various tools and techniques. • Ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices. Skills • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience. • At least 3 years of experience as a Database Administrator, preferably with Microsoft SQL Server and Azure Services. • Strong knowledge of SQL, T-SQL, and database design principles. • Experience with database performance tuning, optimization, and monitoring tools. • Experience with database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies. • Experience with data security, encryption, and auditing. • Experience with cloud-based database services, such as Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure AI Search, etc. • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly.
