[Remote] Medical Records Coordinator (Temporary)

They are seeking a detail-oriented Medical Records Coordinator to join their Care Support team, focusing on records processing and maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations. This temporary position involves administrative support for members and providers, ensuring effective management of medical records requests. Responsibilities Uploading records requests and patient authorization forms including processing medical record requests and provider letters Building relationships with providers, patients, and internal teams (Care Navigation, Provider Success, etc.) for the purposes of medical records management Assist members with Mental Health Leaves & Accommodations (MHLA) requests, liaising with provider and third parties as needed Provide weekly metrics on new, in progress, and completed medical records requests Daily duties include responding to emails, supporting inbound and outbound phone calls, and assisting with patient support tickets as needed Follow HIPAA guidelines while ensuring the confidentiality of patient PHI Maintain a consistent workflow by processing all requests within 24-48 hours of receipt for assigned medical records tickets Monitor incoming requests received through various means and subsequently reporting any suspicious release of medical records requests Skills A minimum of 1 year experience in a similar role Advanced understanding of medical terminology, and HIPAA Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time-management skills Experience with Adobe Acrobat/Google Sheets/Google Docs/MS Office Comfortable in rapidly changing environments and with constantly evolving responsibilities Tech-savvy: very comfortable adopting new technologies and platforms and efficient in tech-related tasks Excellent written and verbal communication skills Able to multi-task and context switch Flexibility to support occasional shift adjustments (depending on business needs) Ability to work 1 weekend per month and at least 4 holidays per year Company Overview Spring Health provides mental health solution for employers and health plans.
