The Software Engineer will design, implement, and deploy software for hardware-based storage offload technologies, contributing to the Azure Storage Virtualization platform. Responsibilities Designs and develops system software that manages storage services in Azure Ensures that services and components are designed with appropriate telemetry and health signals to enable remote monitoring and debugging Rapidly deploys cloud-scale solutions and monitor health through telemetry Drives for quality in everything and continuously improves the quality of the systems Proactively seeks new knowledge and adapts to new trends, technical solutions, and patterns that will improve the availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance of products while also driving consistency in monitoring and operations at scale Embodies our culture and values Skills Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or related technical discipline + OR equivalent experience Proven experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++ or RUST Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements are required for this role 1+ year(s) knowledge of Virtualization technologies, with an understanding of Azure equivalent cloud services - data explorer, portal, disks, storage & virtual machines 1+ year(s) experience in storage domain 1+ year(s) of demonstrated problem solving and software troubleshooting skills 1+ year(s) understanding of system performance, incident response, and troubleshooting in production environments Company Overview Microsoft is a software corporation that develops, manufactures, licenses, supports, and sells a range of software products and services.
