Job Summary As a Remote Student Accounts Collection Advisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing and collecting accounts receivable for our career education schools once students become "out of school." This involves locating and contacting account holders, setting up payment plans, processing payments, and collaborating with third-party collection companies. You'll play a vital role in driving financial success and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. Key Responsibilities Locate account holders via skip tracing methods and establish contact via phone calls, emails, letters, and other methods to set up and monitor payment plans. Maintain and update student financial records and contact information in CampusVue to ensure other departments have accurate information. Work with the Director to establish collection goals and manage the collection process for all "out of school" accounts. Develop and maintain written procedures and comply with all federal and state regulations and internal controls. Stay up-to-date on collection regulations and industry standards to ensure best practices. Handle sensitive personal and financial information, customer payments, and phone interactions with professionalism and empathy. Work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrating self-motivation and a results-driven approach. Attend semi-annual graduation events as required. Requirements and Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: Essential Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent required. One or more years of call center experience, preferably in a collection or customer service role. Experience working with delinquent accounts and collections. Office or customer service experience, with a focus on handling sensitive information and customer interactions. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in education or a related industry. Knowledge of collection regulations and industry standards. Proficiency in software applications, such as CampusVue. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Skills and Competencies To excel as a Remote Student Accounts Collection Advisor, you'll need: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities. Proficiency in handling sensitive information and maintaining confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management skills.
