About the position The purpose of the Resume Specialist is to provide resume development, editing and coaching to candidates currently in career transition. The services provided by the Specialist may be via email or live web-based resume coaching (with webcam / computer camera). Making an Impact • Professional presence; comfortable interacting with a diverse range of candidates and staff and exhibits ability to be articulate, empathetic, and an effective active listener • Interpret concepts and creates effective written material (i.e., accomplishment statements, profile / branding details for resumes) • Maintain daily detailed tracking of candidates, activities, emails, and interactions (Excel and internal systems) • Follow strict protocols on candidate contact throughout her/his service, following up as needed through proper channels of correspondence and completing within stated guidelines Your Typical Day and Other Key Details • Remote work - Comfortable working professionally from home office, accomplishing goals with only remote support on an intermittent basis • Collaborates with candidate in a positive, proactive manner while maintaining a high level of confidentiality • Schedules meetings with candidates; asks key questions to gather information and determine action points or solutions • Edits resumes to market-readiness; experienced with personal branding concepts via resume, digital media (LinkedIn) and career marketing materials • Writes engaging and grammatically correct email messages and other correspondence • Responds to verbal and written cues and adjusts communication to suit the audience Other accountabilities as assigned. Requirements • High school diploma • 3+ years of business experience, preferably in human resources or a coaching capacity • Flexible to work 24-30 hours, with a minimum of 20 hours a week during business hours in your time zone (M-F, 8am-5pm). Hours are not guaranteed and change with the business need; hours may vary daily • Independent and driven to take initiative to complete tasks and solve problems Nice-to-haves • College degree preferred • Resume Certification • Bilingual/multi-lingual a plus Apply tot his job
