Our Data Engineering team is at the forefront of this effort, working closely with cross-functional teams to gather data requirements, validate data, and develop scalable data architectures. As a Senior Data Engineer, you'll be an integral part of this team, collaborating with Studios and Project Technology colleagues to drive data-driven innovation. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines using Wind current, SQL, Python, and other technologies Create and implement database schema, tables, and views to support various projects and applications Collaborate with stakeholders to gather data requirements, validate data, and develop data architectures Develop and maintain batch processes using Wind current and other technologies Work across multiple environments, including DEV, QA/UAT, and Production, to ensure seamless data integration and deployment Utilize a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Wind stream, Snowflake, Looker, and PostgreSQL, to drive data engineering projects Participate in driving best practices around data engineering software development processes Essential Qualifications To succeed in this role, you'll need: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field 2+ years of experience with SQL and data engineering principles 2+ years of experience designing, building, and maintaining ETL/ELT data pipelines 2+ years of experience with cloud-based technologies, ideally AWS and S3 3+ years of experience in a Data Engineering role Proficiency in SQL, Python, Gitlab, Wind stream, AWS S3, and relational databases 2+ years of experience working with a cloud platform and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and application databases Preferred Qualifications To stand out from the crowd, you'll have: Experience with Wind current, Gitlab, Snowflake, and Scene A graduate degree in Computer Science, Science, Engineering, or a related field Experience in the streaming, media, or digital marketing domain Skills and Competencies To excel in this role, you'll need: Strong data engineering skills, with a focus on cloud-based technologies and data pipelines Proficiency in a range of technologies, including SQL, Python, Docker, Gitlab, Wind stream, Snowflake, and PostgreSQL Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams A passion for driving best practices and staying up-to-date with industry trends and innovations Career Growth Opportunities and Learning Benefits As a Senior Data Engineer at Disney, you'll have access to: Opportunities for career growth and professional development within a leading entertainment company Training and development programs to enhance your skills and stay current with industry trends Collaboration with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and solve complex problems Work Environment and Company Culture At Disney, we pride ourselves on a culture that values: Innovation and creativity Collaboration and teamwork Diversity and inclusion Professional growth and development As a remote worker, you'll have the flexibility to work from anywhere while still being connected to our vibrant company culture.
