Job Summary As a Senior Gear Engineer at Spry Fox, you will work closely with our artwork, layout, and engineering groups to identify workflow inefficiencies, pain points, and challenges in our development process. You will collaborate with the team to develop candidate solutions, weigh trade-offs, and implement selected solutions that enhance our development pipeline. Additionally, you will be responsible for assisting, developing, and maintaining our current set of engine-specific and custom gear. Key Responsibilities: Proactively identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in our development technique across various disciplines. Preserve, extend, and aid in the development of present development gear. Build and guide custom asset pipelines to streamline our development process. Grow Spry Fox's proprietary libraries, tools, and technologies across game engines and structures. Collaborate with the team to generate candidate solutions, weigh trade-offs, and implement selected solutions. Assist in the adoption of solutions by the team and ensure seamless integration. Requirements To succeed as a Senior Gear Engineer at Spry Fox, you should possess: Essential Qualifications: A strong passion for empowering others to do their best work. Enjoyment in working with the overall device lifecycle, from identifying issues to evaluating the effectiveness of implemented tools. Experience working with custom standalone gear and developing tools that can be utilized by multiple game development disciplines. Proficiency in C#, C++, and Python programming languages. Ability to work effectively in a self-directed environment. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with custom game engines. Familiarity with Unreal or Unity game engines. JavaScript and .NET technology experience. Knowledge of required utility materials.
