Position: Sr Director Analyst - AI's Impact on HR and the Workforce (Remote - U.S.) About the role Gartner Analysts are industry thought leaders who create must-have insights, market predictions and best practices for world-leading organizations. A Senior Director serves as a leader within Gartner’s Business and Technology Insights (BTI) group, establishing credibility in their designated market at local, regional and global levels. They use exceptional research and analytical skills to produce pragmatic and provocative insights for Gartner clients, helping them propel their business toward key objectives. The role involves engaging clients via in-person and virtual meetings, sales support visits and Gartner conferences to discuss complex challenges and offer recommendations. This role supports Gartner’s growing Human Resources Practice, focusing on tracking AI’s impact on HR and advising CHROs and HR leaders on related strategies, initiatives and investments. Senior Directors are expected to be flexible in coverage and channel their expertise across topics as needed. What you will do • Create innovative, thought-provoking, and highly leveraged insights in multiple formats (writing, video, infographics, podcasts) on AI in HR, CHRO roles in enterprise AI, and workforce transformation due to AI • Develop new insights through thought leadership and provide actionable approaches to client needs and requests • Conduct in-depth analysis to identify root causes of client barriers and reframing to drive strategy • Demonstrate thought leadership by establishing insights positions across a team of analysts • Provide independent, provocative insights to Gartner leaders to evolve the research agenda • Research and predict market trends in AI-driven HR, tracking vendors, technologies and practices to stay ahead • Deliver individualized advice to CHROs and senior HR leaders through video presentations and discussions • Create and deliver high-value presentation materials for Gartner events, conferences and client briefings • Support BTI and Sales by acting as a voice of the market to help content creation and client engagement • Provide high-quality, timely content peer review and build credibility as an industry expert • Participate in innovation and research discussions and collaborate with peers in the Insights community • Identify research process improvements and mentor junior team members • Remain client-centric, actively encouraging ongoing engagement with Gartner insights What you will need • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; graduate degree preferred • 12+ years of relevant HR/technology leadership experience with expertise in: • Understanding CHRO challenges and workflows • Designing and managing HR AI strategies and initiatives • Deep knowledge of HR tech, AI, generative AI and data governance • Executive presence and ability to establish credibility with executives • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines • Excellence in research and writing • Strong written and verbal communication, analytical and presentation skills • Ability to analyze and synthesize data and apply patterns and frameworks to client challenges • Clear communication, capable of explaining complex concepts concisely • Experience presenting at large and small speaking engagements • Strong business and financial acumen • Knowledge of the global and competitive landscape in the subject area • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural global team • Learning agility and adept navigation of matrixed environments • Ability to represent Gartner’s research methodology and strategies • Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% #LI-LE2 #LI-Remote Who are we? The base salary range is 172,000 USD - 202,500 USD with bonus or incentive opportunities. We offer PTO, 401k match, stock purchase at a discount, and other benefits.
